Solution:
We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you cannot receive software/OTA updates, please follow the below troubleshooting steps:
1. Please confirm whether the phone has been unlocked or rooted. If it has been unlocked or rooted, please back up the data and go to the realme Service Center for testing.
2. Please click Settings > App Management/Apps > App List, click ⠸ or ∶ dots in the upper right corner > Show system, and find Software Update. Click Storage Usage and click Clear Data.
Then in a good network environment, click again on:
realme UI 6.0 & 5.0 & 4.0 & 3.0: Settings > About device > Up to date/realme UI to detect whether there is a new version.
realme UI 2.0: Settings > Software Update > Check for Updates.
realme UI R & Go & S & T & U Edition: Settings > System > Software update.
3. To enjoy the upgraded experience, the new version will send upgrade reminders in batches. Different phones will receive the push at different times.
Please check the version upgrade plan in the community and update it to the latest version as soon as possible.
It usually takes 7-10 days to send all users the new version/OTA, and if there is any optimization for the version, it will take longer time to push to all after the optimization was done. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Note:
If customers express strong desire for new version/OTA, agents can collect the user’s IMEI and go to OTA > IMEI Troubleshooting to check if it can be pushed directly.
If yes, please click “Push directly” for CX. And turn on the Priority upgrade for CX.
4. If you have not updated your phone’s system version for a long time, you may not be able to receive system updates due to version restrictions.
This is because upgrading too far apart between versions may cause compatibility issues. Please go to the service center for testing.
5. If the area where you use the product and the area where it was launched don’t match, or if updates are being done through unofficial channels, you might not receive update notifications.
If you think this is the case, you can share the phone’s current usage area, IMEI, dial *#6776#, and send us a screenshot of the software version. We’ll then help confirm the phone’s version status and see if there are other solutions.
After that, the agents will fill out the required information in the tracker and review the feedback shared.
6. If you still cannot receive the update after waiting for several days, please backup your device data and visit the nearest authorized realme Service Center for further assistance.
